Job Summary

The Institute of Health Policy and Management (IHPM) at the College of Public Health (CPH) of National Taiwan University is committed to education and research in the field of health policy and health care management.    The IHPM provides three graduate degrees – Master of Science (MS), Doctor of Philosophy (PhD), and Executive Master of Health Administration (EMHA), and contributes to teaching of the baccalaureate public health program (BS) and the college-wide Master of Public Health (MPH) program.  Our educational goals are to foster the backbone of public health manpower and to cultivate leaders of health policy and health management who uphold health rights concepts, global visions, as well as professionalism. Responsibilities of this position include teaching, research, and service activities that are arranged by the NTU and this Institute.

The IHPM aims to recruit faculty members with research and teaching expertise in one of the following fields: 

l  Management of health industry

l  Management of medical or long-term health care organizations

l  Decision sciences and risk management

l  Health marketing and management

l  Health informatics

l  Management of health resources

The rank of the selected candidate will depend upon candidate's qualifications.

Required Qualifications

Minimum requirements include an earned doctorate by October 31, 2022 in a relevant field. A strong record of research, teaching or fieldwork experiences will be preferably considered.

The applicant should provide: (1) a curriculum vitae with a publication list; (2) a notarized copy of degree diploma along with academic transcripts, (3) statements of teaching and research plans; (4) three letters of recommendation letters (sent to the institute’s email account); (5) copies of 1-2 representative publications published within 5 years, and other relevant publications published within 7 years; (6) other relevant documents or materials demonstrating the applicant’s qualification.

Appointment start date: August 1, 2023
