What is good care? We think that if the health care staff give the patient information, explanation, and informed consent, it will lead to smooth patient-doctor relationship, and the patient can make right choices. But "the logic of choice" causes difficulties and dilemma. This talk uses the fieldwork of the care of chronic diseases in a hospital in Netherland to introduce the concept of "the logic of care." How does this concept can lead us to better care?
